Adam Cooper

Director of Community Planning & Development

As the Director of Community Planning and Development, Adam oversees all land entitlement approvals through local government processes and is responsible for working with local residents and community associations to ensure their feedback is considered in Abstract’s development applications.  

With a keen interest in urban planning, Adam earned his Master of Arts Degree in Planning at the University of British Columbia and is now an accredited Professional Planner. Following his studies Adam worked as a Transportation Planner with Campus and Community Planning at UBC and also served as a Senior Transportation Planner at BC Transit. Following this experience in the public sector Adam moved to Seymour Pacific Developments and served as a Development Manager for several years before joining Abstract Developments. 

Adam started working at Abstract Developments in 2017 as a Development Manager. He has grown inside the organization and has most recently taken on additional responsibilities as our Director of Community Planning and Development. 

Adam’s expertise in urban planning and local government policy serves him well in his role as a Board Member of the Urban Development Institute – Capital Region and has positioned him as an expert in his field and a proven asset to Abstract Development’s group of companies.
