992 Gorge Road West
Vision
992 Gorge was envisioned to provide new and diversified housing forms to the Gorge-Tillicum neighbourhood, offering an alternative to the traditional single family home to a range of people. The project will offer studio, one and 2 bedroom condo homes along with 16 three-storey, family-sized townhomes.
The architecture and landscape were carefully designed to complement the neighbourhood. The apartments and townhouses share a restrained palette of materials: cedar siding for ground floor level walls and soffits, rainscreen stucco for the middle floor levels, and a charcoal grey metal cladding for the upper levels.

Site Design + Context
The site design includes a number of amenities; in addition to private patios and decks, semi-private shared green space with seating areas, and children’s play areas, the proposal includes a fitness facility and a meeting room.
This project will greatly enhance the streetscape with dense plantings and the inclusion of 21 large canopy deciduous trees to line Gorge Rd West and Rockwell Avenue. In addition to private patios and decks, semi-private shared green space with seating areas and children’s play areas, the project includes a fitness facility and a meeting room adjacent to the main Gorge Road W entrance.
The site design encourages the use of active forms of transportation, providing generous bicycle parking spaces visitor parking onsite and taking advantage of the project’s close proximity to amenities, business and employment and outdoor recreation experiences.
